Cameron Scott heads the Stakeholder Engagement team, which forms one half of the firm’s Public Affairs division.

With more than 19 years professional experience as a public affairs and communications leader, he brings his expertise in the development and delivery of communications strategies and reputation management for high-profile people and organisations in complex, highly regulated and fast-moving situations, to Maurice Blackburn.

His career to date spans both the public and private sectors, having been a journalist before becoming a senior political media manager in State and Federal Governments, where he worked in a variety of portfolios including Police and Emergency Services, Corrections, Attorney-General’s, Education and the Industry and Trade ministries.

For the past 10 years he has helped lead a broad range of senior public affairs functions at the firm, covering media management, business development, government relations, as well as stakeholder engagement.

He holds tertiary qualifications of Master of International Relations, as well as a Bachelor in Communications – both from Monash University – with a double major in Journalism and Public Relations.
