Rachael grew up in Cairns and completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business at James Cook University. She is admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Rachael joined Maurice Blackburn in 2013 after previously working for a number of years with another local Cairns law firm, predominantly in the area of personal injuries.
Rachel has spent many years acting for plaintiffs in Far North Queensland in motor accident claims, workplace injuries, and fatalities, including matters with complex injuries sustained over a period of time, or for minors who have not yet turned 18. Rachael is comfortable working with people of all different circumstances and situations.
Rachael strongly believes that injured people in rural and remote areas deserve access to justice. She set up our visiting office on the Tablelands to provide specialised personal injury services to people in the region, and she continues to oversee this office as well as the Innisfail visiting office. One of her passions is ensuring that people in every corner of Far North Queensland have access to the same rights and opportunities as those in South East Queensland, and she is proud to bring the experience of a large law firm to Far North Queensland.
