“When an employment relationship breaks down, it is often the worker who is left at a disadvantage due to the power imbalance present. Being privy to this disparity in power motivates me to advocate for my clients in their time of need,” says Jessica.
Prior to completing her Juris Doctor at Monash University, Jessica worked in international development and legal protection for various multilateral organisations across the United States and the Asia Pacific. It was here that her interest in employment law developed, after investigating modern slavery in global supply chains abroad.
Jessica then went on to study International Labour Law where she topped the class and was awarded the subject prize by The Hon Alan Boulton AO, formerly of the Fair Work Commission.
