Janelle Medhurst

Janelle provides advice and acts for people in medical negligence matters relating to poor treatment provided by doctors, hospitals and other health care providers.

"I chose to become a lawyer through a desire to help people who had been wronged or injured through no fault of their own; it was because of this that I chose to practice in the area of medical negligence. When I see the impact that such injuries have on people's lives I am driven to help them through the often complex and stressful legal process in order to achieve justice," says Janelle.

Janelle is highly experienced in medical malpractice matters including obstetrics, delay in diagnosis matters, stroke cases, orthopaedic claims and coronial investigations. She is also empathetic to her clients' situations and needs, and provides straight-forward advice in easy-to-understand language. In her eight years of legal practice, Janelle has achieved significant results for clients who have been injured by poor medical treatment, and most of her cases settle without the need to go to court.

"My ability to use the law to help people who have been injured is the most satisfying part of my work. Knowing the dreadful impact that such injuries have on people's lives really drives me to achieve justice and compensation for them. It’s truly rewarding to be able to achieve outstanding settlements for injured clients and see the positive impact that such a successful result has on their lives."
