Ian's skills in occupational diseases have been recognised by the international legal directory, Chambers & Partners, and he has been accredited as a Band 1 practitioner for many years.

Ian has led significant specialist asbestos disease teams in the UK in two major cities, representing hundreds of clients annually. During this time, he regularly presented on legal issues to other lawyers and medical professionals.

Once described in Chambers & Partners as a "hard-line but sensible negotiator," is how Ian wishes to be remembered in his career. In 2023, in the same directory, he was described as "having a deep understanding of industrial diseases" and having "very sound judgment."

"I am driven by a strong desire to achieve justice for working people, ensuring that their disease, caused by the negligence of others, is properly compensated in so far as the law permits. I adopt a straight-talking approach when acting for my clients," says Ian.

Ian relocated to Australia in 2023, qualified as a lawyer in New South Wales and is committed to using his experience to ensure ongoing access to justice for clients affected by dust diseases.
