Having worked extensively with people suffering from systemic disadvantage, Friya pursued a Juris Doctor with the goal of working towards effecting institutional change by improving access to justice and equity.
“The unjust power dynamic in our society between individuals and wealthy corporations, if left unchecked by the legal system, allows vulnerable people to be exploited. My role as a class actions lawyer is to help address this imbalance by ensuring everyone has access to justice. This is what drives me.”
Friya is currently working on the JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman Extended Warranties Class Actions and previously worked on the AMP Shareholder and Queensland Floods Class Actions.
