Wills and estates
LLB (Hons), Dip FP
Elisha is patient and understanding of her clients’ circumstances and supports them through what can be a very overwhelming legal process. She strives to take the time to listen to their stories and explain the complicated civil litigation practice and procedure in plain language.
“I am passionate about fighting for fair and achieving the best possible outcome for my clients. I believe that everyone should have access to the legal system regardless of their circumstances.”
Elisha once acted for a client who had a severe disability, which prevented her working or forming lasting relationships. She was living in public housing and her only source of income was the disability support pension. She was excluded from her father’s Will because of her disability. Elisha was successful in achieving for her client a share of her client’s deceased father’s estate that was equal to the share her client’s two other siblings were to receive. Her share was put in a special disability trust so that her eligibility for the pension would not be affected, tax consequences would be minimised and two trustees could safely invest and manage her money on her behalf for her future needs.
Elisha is also a NSW Law Society mentor for graduate and junior lawyers.
