Maurice Blackburn announces legal promotions for 2024

Jarrah Ekstein from the firm’s Brisbane class actions practice and Patrick Turner from the Brisbane employment and industrial law team will become Principal Lawyers in 2024.

The other promotions include two Special Counsels, 10 Senior Associates and 10 Associates.

Overall, 24 lawyers across the firm will be promoted, including 10 in Queensland, 10 in Victoria and four in Sydney.

The promotions also represent many of the firm’s practice areas including road and work injuries, public liability, superannuation and insurance, medical negligence, class actions, litigation funding, and employment and industrial.

Chief Executive Officer Jacob Varghese congratulated all the lawyers on their achievements.
